Miss Alley has an application in process. She is a lucky girl and her family will be lucky too. My sister-in-law dropped by yesterday and immediately fell in love with Alley's sweet personality. She asked if I could just say that Alley ran away so that she could have her. Of course she was joking but she really did make a great impression on my sister-in-law.
Alley continues to do her business outside. Today was nice sunny day so I just left the back door open (we have a fenced yard) while I worked in the kitchen. Alley and Miles found a warm spot on the back steps and did a little sun bathing. Ah, that sun feels so good after we haven't seen it in months.
Normally I don't have dog beds out in the house. I typically just lay down blankets since they're easier to put in the wash when they get dirty. Today I had to run into Walgreens for some things (I don't normally shop there) and I noticed they had some small dog beds reasonably priced. I picked up a round one and a square one. I got home and placed them down in the kitchen and Alley immediately selected the square one. So, square it is! They're a bargain at $12.99 at Walgreens. Oops...right as I'm typing this she's now in the round one. Well, either will suit her. And the round one was only $9.99.
Thanks for reading and thanks for thinking rescue! Each dog adopted makes room for another dog to be rescued in Alabama and to make the trip up North.
