We took Chevy to the dog park yesterday and just as I expected he did great.  It's a big dog park, 70 acres, so I needed to be sure he would stay relatively close and behave well and he did not disappoint me.
The car ride there was a non-event for him.  He sat nicely on the floor in the back during our 20 minute ride.  Once we got there he was friendly with all the dogs and owners he met.  He had a great time running through the open area but was good about not straying too far as we walked the perimeter of the park.  He stayed close as we walked through the wooded area with its narrow trails.
He played with dogs of all sizes, big and small,  and did not hesitate to walk up to the owners and greet them with a friendly look and a tail wag.  He received compliments from some of the owners who called him "sweet" and  "cute."  I forgot my camera but if I had gotten a picture you would have seen him smile from ear to ear.
