In the yard I have her off the long lead. She hasn't shown any interest in making a jump for it over the fence. I do watch her though just in case a bunny comes through or something peaks her interest.
She has rung the bell on the back door a few more times. She is more interested in just going out and sniffing around though rather than really needing to do her business. But, when she rings I let her out to reinforce the connection. She has been doing all her business outside since Saturday night.
I was out of town yesterday and came home this morning. She greeted me at the door with my two dogs and was happy. But, then she got a sniff of me and got really happy. She did jump up but is good about getting down when I say "off."
She continues to be just great with our girls and their friends (7-11 yrs old).
She does hang around the dinner table but we've not been giving her anything. I don't know that I'd call it begging but she does seem like she's waiting for a handout.
Miles (my male dog) usually gives the foster dogs a snarky attitude the first few days. I think he thinks he needs to set some rules (like I sleep here.) She has been fine with his attitude. In fact she keeps trying to get him to play. I think Miles is a little hesitant because of her size. They played a little bit of tug today but that's it. But, she continues to try by play bowing.
I would say she's medium energy for the type of dog she is. She enjoys walks and enjoys running a little in the back yard. But she is good in the house and has been following me around for the most part. The last few days she's been resting near my desk while I work.
She has left the socks and shoes alone. I haven't seen any chewing activity.
She loves tummy rubs and also loves having the inside of her ears rubbed.
Here are some videos of my youngest daughter petting Missy. Then, one of me talking to her. I had the camera right in front of my face and I don't think she liked that she couldn't see my eyes. :-)
I'm having trouble loading the second video. It is here
