She is young. The vets who examined her in Alabama estimated she's about 1 to 1 and half years old (99% of Fluffy Dog Rescue's dogs are rescued kill shelters in AL). I can tell that she is young and wants to play. You can see some of her playful happiness in one of the videos below. She has been amusing herself with toys and nylabones. I imagine in a couple of days one of my dogs might join her in some play.
She is loves people and loves attention. I was watching a little TV last night and she curled up in the crook of my arm and fell asleep. She was enjoying being petted by me and when I got tired she tried to encourage me to keep going but eventually gave up and fell asleep.
She has been wonderful with my two daughters. You can see some of that in one of the videos below also.
She does not seem to know "sit" but has been good about taking treats nicely and about waiting her turn. Another of the videos shows this. I have three dogs and one is not in the video. My 14 year old sheltie-mix Holly apparently didn't hear that I was handing out treats. Poor girl, she is getting older and losing her hearing. My daughter took the video and decided to change the camera angle so excuse the changes in the angle.
She has been great about doing all of her business outside. Her prior foster mom says she had some accidents the first couple days but then was doing everything outside from then on out. We both work from home so get her out several times a day but hey, in my book, saving it for outside is a good thing.
Here are a few pictures and videos from today.

Here is Mattie enjoying a Nylabone. I laid out a blanket next to my desk and she hung out there while I worked. |

Mattie is having some fun with me. She will paw at your feet when she wants your attention. Very cute. |
