This little girl is named Stormy however she's anything but. She's more like a ray of sunshine. Stormy needed a foster home, we had a spot, deal done. Stormy, like almost all of our Fluffy Dogs, is originally from Alabama. Her Alabama foster mom had great things to say about her and based on what I've seen they're all true. She met my dogs nicely yesterday without a problem. She's loved all the people she's met. Both my daughters had sleep overs last night and she did fine with the commotion and giggles that come with that. When I let her out in the yard she does her potties right away. She wants to play with my 20 pound mix, Winnie, but Winnie is still thinking about it (give it a few days). Stormy slept quietly all night in a crate in my room.
You see Stormy, like Obie, and many of the dogs I've fostered was heartworm positive. She's been treated for those nasty worms but while the worms are dying she needs to keep her activity level low. So, she'll be hanging out with me for a few weeks while that happens. After that she'll just need a monthly heartworm preventative year round. Easy enough!
We think she's a husky-schnauzer mix. We don't know for sure, generally the breeds listed on the site are our best guess, but she sure looks like one. Those blue eyes are beautiful and she's got that grey coat that is a mix of course and soft. She does shed some.
I'll add more as we get to know her more but she might not be around here that long. This little girl will be adopted quickly I'm sure.
Here's a video of my daughter meeting Stormy just an hour or so after Stormy arrived.
