Welcome Nutter Butter

Nutter Butter arrived today.  She has a very sweet disposition and is very good looking.  I don't think any of the pictures will do her justice.  She really is very nice looking.  Even when she first arrived at our house and my neighbor happened to be pulling up he commented on how good looking she was.  To me, she appears to have some dachshund in her.  She is short and long and has a narrow muzzle and a cute hop when she's happy.  Her top coat is wirey but she's got some very soft and fluffy golden hair on her legs.  Her ears are like velvet.  She's really a good looking Heinz 57.

She is getting along very well with my two dogs.  They even all shared treats together.  She followed my two and sat nicely when it was her turn to receive a treat.  She appears to have nice manners.

I think that stairs and leash walking are new for her.  She had no trouble going upstairs but was a little unsure when it was time to come down.  I've had several foster dogs who also were new to stairs.  They all get it in a few days.  The videos below are her trying to come down and then finally making it to the bottom.  We cheated a little and brought her down a few stairs ourselves but then she did the rest.   Great girl!  We tried a little leash walking today and she was a little hesitant.  No pulling...just didn't want to go.  I've had this too with foster dogs and the walking will come shortly.  You can tell by the videos that she really wants to do these things...they're just new so she's a little unsure.

She is very good with my two daughters and my husband.

More to come as we get to know this sweet girl better.
