Rascal

Gosh, Rascal is such a cutie.  Rascal is probably not the best name for him because he's not mischievous.  He is pretty low key and would like to be loved on all day.  Like any toy-sized dog he is small and delicate...but all the more easy for him to fit nicely in your lap.  He rested on the dog bed in the kitchen most of the day today.  I had a friend come over and he was very polite in meeting her and curled up in her lap for a little rest.

Macy really likes Rascal and has been trying to get him to play.  So far Rascal hasn't been interested.  While he was waiting for his ride up to IL/WI he was in a foster home in Alabama.  His foster mom there tells me that it took him about a week before he felt comfortable enough in their home to begin playing with their dogs.  That's normal.  She also tells me that he slept with them at night and was a good room-mate.

My male dog, Miles, sleeps with us at night and he can sometimes be funny about sharing with another dog.  So, both Rascal and Macy sleep in crates in our room at night. Rascal whined a little bit, maybe 15 minutes, and then slept all the way through the night.  No problems.

Last night someone down the street was starting an early July 4th celebration with some fireworks.  My dog, Miles, ran upstairs and hunkered down in the closet but Macy and Rascal were fine.  No anxiousness with the loud noises.

Rascal has been doing his business outside for the most part.  He did have one accident in the last day but it's possibly because he doesn't know the routine yet.

He is just an adorable guy.  So sweet and loving and tiny.

They realized they both like to cuddle so why not get together.  So cute.
