Looks like the video I tried to add yesterday didn't get uploaded. So, here is a link to it. As soon as I go to get the treats all three of them are so good about sitting patiently until I hand them out. Missy can shake as you know. We found by accident that she can also do a high five. We haven't asked her to roll over but I think that's in her "repertoire" also. I don't want her to worry about having to "perform," I just want her to relax and enjoy being part of our pack so we haven't pushed her too much to do the tricks.
You'll see my Miles has some strange highlights going on in his hair. Well, he got skunked a few weeks ago...again! I think that's the 4th or 5th time in the last 24 months. The best way to get the smell out is a solution of baking soda, peroxide and dish soap. The peroxide gives his black and grey hair a golden highlight. Of course he always gets it right on the head! Let me add, no solution is perfect but this is as good as I've found. If this happens to you and you let the dog in the house (even if it's just to get them into the tub) just know that the smell will linger in the house for several days. It will go away but it takes awhile. If you have a dinner party planned (like I did once) it's best to reschedule. I now only let Miles out after dark on a leash and I leave our back yard lights on from sunset to sunrise.
Thanks for thinking rescue!
