Saturday

Some more videos for you today.  As I've said, Simon has a limp but it doesn't affect his daily routine.  Sometimes he looks like he's a little stiff after he's been napping.  But after less than a minute he's back to his bouncy self.  I've had my daughter take a video of him walking so you can see his limp.  You can see it doesn't impact his mobility.

I've been working with him on waiting and not rushing out the door when we go on walks.  He's doing great at this.  You can see this in the second video I've posted.

Finally, I've mentioned that he and my dog Missy play well together.  So, here's another video of them playing.  They are play fighting with open mouths.

Finally, when I walk him in the neighborhood he does really well.  My dog Holly will bark at the other dogs as they pass-by but not Simon.  He's just fine.  I've noticed that he will bark at the vacuum cleaner if it's close to him.  But, if I put him in the other room he's fine.  Also, even if I put him in his crate and vacuum around him he's fine too.  No barking.

He does like his crate and goes in there without a problem.  When I leave the house I grab a small treat, sometimes even just 1 kibble, and I tell him "go kennel."  He then races to his crate and hops in when I toss in the treat.  He generally doesn't fuss when he's in the crate.  He does fuss a little when he sees I'm taking two the other dogs for a walk.  I don't blame him.   Otherwise, he quiet and content in his crate.

Oh, please no judging of the house-keeping.  Yes, I've got laundry baskets around and yes, I've got lots of dog toys and blankets on the ground.  Also, my daughter is working on the Darth Vader march for her next piano recital.  So, ignore that in the background too.  I'm sharing these videos of Simon so you can see him.  Please ignore everything else.  Smile.  Thanks!

Like many of the other videos I've posted you'll have to click the links to see them.  Sometimes I can load them right here on the blog, sometimes it won't let me.

Thanks for watching and thank for thinking rescue!
