Welcome Sage

With my crew.  Sage, Holly (sheltie mix), Missy (standard poodle), Miles (mini poodle mix)

Resting next to me while I typed this today

Sage was being fostered nearby but it was time for her two puppies (Paprika and Parsley) to be weaned so Sage is now staying with us.  She arrived at our house two days ago and I can tell you that she is a happy little girl who adores people.  She is wonderful with my two daughters (10 and 12), my three dogs and with my husband (let's not forget him).  She is doing all her business outside (good girl!) and has been sleeping in the crate at night without a peep.

While I've only known Sage a couple days I would say that her most favorite thing is to snuggle.  As soon as someone sits down she is there wanting to warm their lap.  Last night she sat on my lap while we watched the football game and she kept wedging her nose under my hand.  She was trying to tell me "keep petting me...keep petting me."  She eventually settled in and took a nap and my hand got a rest.

She is doing great with my three dogs and she did great with the three dogs at her previous foster mom's home also.

We walked her on a harness yesterday and today.  Everything in this neighborhood is new for her so she did lots of sniffing.  I normally take my dogs about a mile for each walk but because she is so much smaller we just took her around the block.  Those little legs can sure keep up.

She has a fluffy black and white coat.  Her ears are large and one stands up perfectly while the other bends over a little at the tip.  She is very cute.  She is 12 pounds and about 11 inches tall to the shoulder.

Here is a video of her and her pups which we made about two weeks ago (Click below)

We will post more about her as we get to know her better.

Thanks for reading and thanks for thinking rescue!
