I was on a business trip most of this past week so my husband and girls took care of all the dogs. My girls tell me that Sage did great. They tell me that she followed each of them around the house and would even wait patiently in the bathroom while they were showering.
She loves everyone she meets. She met my neighbor, Bob, enthusiastically and he's now smitten with her. He spent several minutes holding and cuddling her while we chatted over the fence tonight. He said that someone will be lucky to get her.
She never had a problem with any of our stairs. She does them all confidently and with speed. Many of our Fluffy fosters learn the stairs while they are here but not Sage. She already mastered them before she got her.
She is good in the house and has not chewed anything. Her favorite thing really appears to be people. I do crate her at night and she goes in without a fuss but really I think she'd be just fine out of the crate. I leave her out of the crate when I run a quick errand during the day and she's just fine. My male can be temperamental so for her safety I do crate her when I'm gone for longer periods but again, I think she'd be just fine if I left her out.
We understand that Sage and her puppies were left outside of an Alabama shelter. Fortunately Fluffy Dog Rescue was able to get them transported up to IL where they would be safe and would find families of their own. In my opinion Sage was somebody's pet. She is housebroken, loves all the people she meets and is good with other dogs. How she ended up being turned into a shelter I don't know.
She (and her pups) will be spayed on Halloween and will be ready to go to her forever family after that.
Below is a video and some pictures of Sage and each of my daughters.
