Lucy just arrived today. She is a beautiful little girl who is about 10 pounds and about 10 inches to the shoulder. Her hair is very soft and silky. She got a bath when she arrived and behaved nicely in the tub and for some brushing afterwards. She even gave me lots of little kisses during her bath and brushing.
She greeted all our dogs and our other foster, Mattie, nicely. Mattie, wasted no time with "small talk" and immediately started initiating play with Lucy. They played for about 20 minutes and are both now napping.
Lucy came from Alabama. She is 10 months old. She was surrendered by her Alabama owners who reported that they could not housebreak her. Fortunately Fluffy Dog Rescue was alerted so rather than face a grim future at the shelter she now has an opportunity to be adopted by someone who won't give up on her.
My oldest daughter has been on the sofa all day with the flu and Lucy hopped up there and gave her some kisses today. It was very cute.
We will post more info about Lucy as we get to know this sweet and beautiful little girl more.
