He continues to do really well. My daughters tell me that they've heard him ring the bell on the back door a few times. I've heard him too so he seems to have made the association that ringing the bell let's him out. Because I have him crated for much of the time (Keep reading the blog and you'll read why) I can't say for sure that he's housebroken but I can tell you that he's never had a #2 accident and there've been no #1 accidents in a couple weeks. I'd say he's doing very well.
He is a happy boy and always happy to meet people. He met my friend Barb today and was all wags. He is enthusiastic when he first meets someone but he settles now nicely (he is curled up next to me as I type this on my laptop.)
He does get excited when I let him out of the crate and he will prance and hop and jump but like I've noted above he does eventually settle down. He has tried to play with my senior dog, Holly, although she wasn't interested. He play-bowed to her and hopped around her. He was just fine when she didn't reciprocate. He got the message that she wasn't interested.
He barked at our landscapers once. We were in the house and they were right out the back door with the lawnmower whirling loudly. But, then when the house behind us had their landscapers cutting their lawn he was fine. He did not bark or run to the fence.
We have really enjoyed having Snyder in our home. Please keep reading for more information on this handsome scruffy boy.
