Some Synder pictures

A few pictures for you today.  I'll add that I would consider this boy housebroken.  He is crated overnight but is out of the crate for 2 hours at a time during the day and he has not had any accidents in the last couple of weeks.  No problems.  Plus, he will ring the bell on the back door when he wants to go out.  Now, he doesn't always NEED to go out when he rings the bell.  But, that's okay. When you're training the dog to use the bell (I'll add that I never trained him on it he just figured it out himself) you need to reinforce their ring by letting them out each time.

He is a very loving boy and has loved all the people he has met.  Yesterday, he snuggled up with me on the leather recliner while I worked on my laptop and then at night again when I watched a movie with my daughter.  He's just the right size and there's enough room for both of us.  He's not too big and not too small.  A nice medium size.

Please keep reading for more information on this handsome fellow!

I'll add that he's done with his hear worm treatment and he can go to his forever family anytime now. He's literally got a new leash on life thanks to Fluffy Dog Rescue.  You can read about another heart worm positive dog that recently went through treatment by going to fluffydogstars.blogspot.com.  Wescott is Snyder's pal and he's also available for adoption.

If you're thinking gosh he's 4 years old, that's too old in my book I would stop you there and say please don't discriminate against older dogs.  He's a wonderful boy with a whole lot left to give.  And, did you know that mixed breed dogs generally live longer than purebreds!  So, tack a couple years onto what ever you were thinking.  My girls comment to me all the time that Snyder has some puppy in him.  I would agree.  He definitely has a joie-de-vivre!  He's got the bounce and happiness of a puppy but without the chewing (okay he did pull some tissues out of the wastebasket once...but that's it) that a puppy will do.

Thanks for reading and thanks for thinking rescue!

Snyder and Holly sleeping next to my desk in the basement.  Snyder doesn't sleep on the blankets I put down.  The floor might be cooler for him

Next to me on the recliner.  Just enough room!
