Saying Goodbye to Holly

About a month ago it was time to say good-bye to our dog Holly.  Holly was a stray found in South Bend, IN on December 26, 2001.  We adopted her shortly after the new year.  She was with us for 14 years and for about the last year her kidneys and liver were no longer functioning as they should.  Despite this she was always welcoming to the many foster dogs who came into her home...about 40 in total.  As terribly difficult it was to say good-bye to our sweet girl we are comforted knowing she is having a wonderful time with our other dog over the rainbow bridge.
