Scrappy has been a joy to have around. Truly he's a little gentleman. Not one accident in the time he's been here and he's even started to paw at the back door when he needs to go out. He has not chewed anything that he's not supposed to and sleeps quietly in my daughter's room each night. She found a big basket in the basement, lined it with blankets, and he's been sleeping in there at night. He will fuss if we put him in the crate and leave the room...he wants to be with his person. But, by the time we get home he's quiet so he eventually gets tired and settles into his crate.
He's liking the snow now and is good about going out, doing his thing and coming back inside. Certainly, you can change his name but we're kinda liking Scrappy. We have been calling him all versions of Scrappy such as Scrapington, Scrap-a-doodle-do and Scrapmeister. Fun!
Scruffy was heartworm positive when he came to the rescue but he's been treated for the heartworms and now just needs to remain on a monthly chewable heartworm tablet. Many of the dogs we've fostered have been HW+ and they all go onto live normal and happy lives. Hillary and Wanda are two recent dogs we had here and you can read about them on the blog if you'd like.
2017 will truly be wonderful for Scrappy! He's been given a new opportunity for a healthy life with a new home! Might that be with you?
