Mercedes doing great

Just a quick follow up to my prior post to let you know that Mercedes (we call her Mercy) continues to do great.  She's been with us a week now and has been a pleasure to have around. She does well with all our dogs and with our other foster.  She has a medium energy level.  She is content to rest while I'm working during the day (from home) but will join the other dogs in playing when they invite her with a play bow.  The video linked below is Mercy and Winnie playing in the yard.

She loves people and joins me on the couch when I finally get some "me" time in the evening.  She has been doing all her potties outside so I would say she's housebroken.  I do crate her at night and she does fuss at first but settles in and is quiet until we get up.  She probably doesn't need to be crated, maybe we'll start leaving her out at night or letting her sleep in a crate in our room instead of downstairs.

She likes belly rubs, chew toys, snuggling and walks.  As you can see from the video her leg is doing well.  She does use it when she needs to.  More walks, maybe some swimming and playing will encourage her to use it even more.  Keep reading the prior posts for more pictures and video.
