Tuesday

Well, the weather here has gone from about 40 and windy to 85 and sunny.  So, instead of wearing a winter coat to the girls' softball games we could actually wear summer clothes.  I took the opportunity to bring Baby with me to my oldest daughter's game today and he did great.  He met another dog (lab mix).  He was a little nervous at first (I think) but after sharing snifs all was good and he was trying to play with her.  He was very good with all the girls and younger siblings petting him.  He does have some puppy excitement when he first meets someone but calms down nicely.  He shared lots of kisses with the girls and was overall very well behaved.  After about an hour of getting lots of attention he curled up at my feet and rested.  Then later after the sun started to set he climbed into my lap.

He can do the stairs now without a problem.  I think that was a new skill acquired here.  He's still been accident free in the house.  He does all his business outside.  I work from home so I let them out several times during the day.  He's been fine in the crate too.  No problems.

I'd say he's more vocal than some of the other foster dogs we've had.  Sometimes I don't hear a peep out of them.  But, when Baby hears my dogs bark he's not shy about  joining in.  He doesn't start it but when my female starts barking at something outside (the mailman, etc) he isn't going to pass up on the fun.  My girls play with the family behind us and when he's seen them climbing the fence coming back into our yard he has barked a few times but once he realizes it's them he stops and is all happy to see them.  I'd say he's a normal barker...not excessive...not mute...just normal.

Here's Baby at today's game.  (Darn it...they lost by 1 run).
