Hi, just a quick update after another day with Miss Waverly. Gosh, she's a great dog! Sweet and playful but not high energy. Just a really great balance. She and I went for a 15 minute walk this morning and she did really well. Everything was new to her so she did lots of sniffing but no real pulling. She let me guide the way.
She rested on the dog bed in my bedroom while I showered. She follows me everywhere. She doesn't have to be right next to me but likes to be in the vicinity. She slept most of the day while I worked. I work from home and I let her out several times during the day and she was good about doing her business. No accidents in the house.
I have been exhausted with all the activity around here lately and needed to take a nap during my lunch hour. Waverly followed me upstairs and slept on the floor next to the bed while I slept.
I noticed that her age is not the pet finder site. I've asked the Rescue Director for her estimated age. My guess, and I'm no vet, would be that she's maybe 2 or so. She has gleaming white teeth with no tartar from what I can see.
Darn utility worker left the gate open today (arrgh!) and it was a couple minutes before I noticed it. Waverly had gotten out but came to me when I called her. Good girl!
I took her with me in the car when I dropped my youngest at her softball game and she was good in the car. She was anxious at first and didn't know where to sit or what to do. She eventually settled in my lap and laid her head down and relaxed.
I believe this girl will be adopted quickly!
