Okay, it's Wednesday night now and Waverly's been with us since Sunday morning. She is wonderful. Just a great balance of playful, affectionate, relaxed, etc.
Still no accidents since that first one. I do get her out every few hours and she's been doing all her business outside.
A storm rolled through again today and the thunder didn't bother her at all.
She and I and Holly (my sheltie-mix) took a 1 mile walk today and she did great. She pulled slightly when she saw a squirrel but no barking and was quickly focused back on our walk.
She slept much of the day again while I worked. Like I mentioned, I get the dogs out several times during the day while I'm home.
She is affectionate and cuddled up with me on the couch while I watched a little TV yesterday. She didn't demand attention. She just snuggled in next to me and that was it. It's nice to have someone to cuddle with me. My standard poodle is too big, and it's not her thing. And, will cuddle only occasionally and when they do it's all about them. They want attention and won't let me rest.
We don't know her age but as I mentioned I do believe she's young. Her teeth definitely look better than my 6 year old poodle and also look better than my 4-5 year old poodle. So, maybe she's 2. Maybe 3.
Please keep reading below for more info on this sunny little girl.
Thanks for thinking rescue!
