Charcoal has grown

We weighed and measured Charcoal yesterday and she has grown.  She is now 27 pounds and 18 inches tall.  All her fluffiness make her look larger than she is but when she had a bath the other day I almost didn't recognize her with all the fluffy wetted down.  At about 8 months old she might grow a little bit more...but not too much.  She will probably end up about the average size for a female Australian Shepherd.

Here are some pictures and videos from today (below).  She is a smart and active puppy.  She ran a little with Miles and me again this morning.  Not too far, about 2-3 miles but she did great again.

My dogs sit and wait for me to give them a command to "walk" before we go outside.  She is getting the hang of it.  Today, she sat and waited with Miles until I gave the command and I really wasn't training her to do it.  I've also tried a little clicker training with her to touch my hand on command and there too, she's doing great with very little effort on my part.  Smart girl.  Clicker training is also great for getting a dog to learn "leave it" such as leave the squirrel or the bunny or the small animal alone.

You'll see from the video below that she is a very loving girl.  She is social with people and loves attention and affection.

Also, I'll mention that she is very good in the crate.  She does not whine.  I crate her at night and when I have to run the girls to school.  She goes in nicely with a treat and a "go kennel" command.

Hanging out with Miles and Holly.  You can see I have a lot of toys around.   She does like to play so I give her many (maybe too many) to choose from.  She is good about entertaining herself with a chew toy
