Quick Update

A quick update again today.  She's been back with us almost a week now and doing great.  She is great with my three dogs.  She and Missy, my 40 pound standard poodle, will play and when they do Charcoal is submissive.  She will get on her back and let Missy play bite her.  Miles got a little snarky with Charcoal one evening (that's his nature) and she was fine with that as well.  She backed away from him with no problem.  Charcoal had to stay at the doggie day care for a couple weeks before I could pick her up and they tell me she played hard.  I'm not surprised.  For many dogs the day care is kind of like a bounce house is for a pre-schooler.  Lots of high energy fun!  Here though, she is good about entertaining herself and playing nicely with Missy.

Miles does agility so I have a  few pieces of equipment here at the house.   I tried taking Charcoal through the tunnel the other day and I kept the tunnel short just to get her used to going through.  She went through with no problem.  I've included  the video below.

She has gone running with Miles and me a few times now and continues to do great.  She and Miles spotted a skunk yesterday on our run and it was hard for me to get them both focused back on me.  I can't blame them...those black and white squirrels sure do move slowly which makes them an easy target.  Thankfully they were leashed and we were not close so there was no encounter of the smelly kind.

Her daily routine has been to start out with a walk (or run) in the morning,  she then play with toys, then moves from chew toy to chew toy and then she eventually settles down for a nap in the middle of the day.  Later in the day she plays with Missy.

Sorry the video is so shaky.  A new camera/video camera is on my Christmas list!
