Both Alley and Phoebe have been wonderful with my girls (10 and 12).  I have linked a video below showing just how nice they both are with younger people.

Phoebe left on Saturday and is staying with my mom right now and will be getting spayed tomorrow.  She is doing very well with my mom's three dogs from what I hear.  Both Phoebe and Alley greeted my mom very nicely when she came to pick up Phoebe.  Neither appear fearful of strangers.

Since Phoebe left Alley has been doing all her business outside. She has found a few places in the yard that have no snow and faithfully finds those places to do her business.  When I open the back door she sometimes rushes out and other times she looks at me like "are you sure it's okay for me to go out there?" So, I walk outside with her and walk to one of her places and encourage her to go.  I believe she had a few accidents the first few days but so far is doing very well.  I work from home so I do let all the dogs out several times a day.

Alley is not wild about the crate.  She will tolerate it and will go in with a treat but will whine for the first few minutes.  So, since my husband has been out of town and since Phoebe is at my mom's I've let Alley sleep in bed with me for the last 3 nights.  She's done very well.  She finds a comfy spot and that's it...she's stays there all night without a peep.  She waits until I get up and then we go downstairs and everyone goes outside for their business.  Good girl.

I'd say that Alley is not wild about my standard poodle Missy.  Missy is big, 40 pounds, and didn't greet Alley very nicely the first day.  When I'm petting Alley she will curl a lip a little if Missy comes near.  She's been fine with all the other dogs so I think it's just that Missy is a big female that wasn't so nice at first.  That said, they co-exist nicely.  They both slept in bed with me and even right now they are sitting near each other on the floor.

Today I worked on "sit" a little with Alley.  She got it quickly.  The problem is she doesn't hold the sit long enough for the other dogs to get and finish their treats.  But, she's made good progress showing that she can sit and wait for her own.  She will get this.  She seems likes a smart girl.

Now that I've had a few days with just Alley I would say that she is a pretty low-key girl.  She sleeps next to my desk most of the day while I'm working.  She will grab a toy occasionally and chew on it but otherwise is content to just hang out near me.  It's been very cold so we have not gone for walks the last two days.  Three days ago we did another 1 mile walk and she did very well again.

Both of these girls are very sweet and outgoing.  They are doing well with their housebreaking and looking forward to a home to call their own.

While I was working I pulled an extra chair up next to my desk and let them climb up there and rest
