Sweet Angel

Angel watching some TV with my daughter

Angel has been with us about a week and a half now.  She is a beautiful and sweet girl.  She's been good about doing her potties outside with my two dogs.  She's had a couple accidents in the house but  I think that's more because my teens aren't good about getting the dogs out regularly than because of Angel.  Keeping Angel on a schedule and watching to make sure she goes potty before rushing back in the house will help her in her new home.

Angel is sweet and likes to be around the family and likes to cuddle.  She is shy with new people and also shies away from loud activity.  We have two teenage girls and I'm afraid I have to admit that we have our fair share of yelling and along with the occasional slamming of doors in the house.  I don't think Angel is used to the drama and she will go hide under the bed, in her crate or behind the couch when it heats up.  She also ran under the bed due to the sound of my high heels on the hardwood floors the other day.

I did take Angel to my daughter's soccer game the other day and she was good.  She sat in my lap much of the game.  The cheering and clapping did seem to make her a little nervous but she was fine staying in my lap.  She was alert and looking in the direction of all the new sounds she was hearing.  She was very interested in going to meet one of the puppies that was at the game.  She was good in the car to and from the game.

We've been taking regular walks and Angel has been good.  I do put a harness on her and she walks pretty well with Miles and me.  She doesn't pull much but does zig zag so I do have to untangle the leashes occasionally.  She runs and jumps and gets along just fine but when we walk she does occasionally hop and misses a step on her back right leg.  I've loaded a video below so you can see it. I think it's just the way she walks because her leg is not sensitive at all and as you'll see from the other video she runs just fine.  She also hops on the sofa and on the bed (yes, I spoil her) and off without any problems.  I only notice it when we're out on a walk.  I don't notice it when she's in the house or in the yard.

Angel likes to play and does have some energy.  After our walks she does like to do a few laps in the back yard.  Don't miss the video below.

Thanks for reading and thanks for thinking rescue.  When you adopt a Fluffy Dog you help make room so that another dog can be rescued and join the Fluffy Dog family.

We have a family of coyotes that live in our neighborhood.  Always remember to watch your dogs to make sure they are safe when outside.
